Getting older is inevitable. Growing up is entirely optional!
You’ve still got the music in you, even if the knees aren’t quite what they used to be.
So, in the spirit of not taking ourselves too seriously, here are a few telltale signs that you might be getting a little more vintage than you care to admit…
You and your teeth don’t sleep together.
You try to straighten out the wrinkles in your socks and discover you aren’t wearing any.
At the breakfast table you hear snap, crackle, pop and you’re not eating cereal.
Your back goes out more than you do..
You wake up looking like your passport picture.
When getting up from a picnic blanket you look like a newborn giraffe trying to stand for the first time.
When your idea of a night out is sitting on the patio.
When happy hour is 40 winks.
Your address book has mostly names that start with Dr.
Getting “lucky” means you found your car in the supermarket car park.
Everything hurts, and what doesn’t hurt – doesn’t work.
You look for your glasses for half an hour and they were on your head the whole time.
You wonder how you could be over the hill when you don’t even remember being on top of it.
The hair might be greyer, the knees a little creakier and the recovery time after a late gig considerably longer…
But the love of music never gets old.
And that’s what matters.
Music Has No Age Limit.
So dust off that guitar, turn up the amp and find yourself some fellow musicians who remember when albums had two sides.
Find people. Start a band. Play some gigs.
Up For A Jam — because you’re never too old to make some noise.
